Gugai MacNamara (Róisín Dubh / Galway International Arts Festival / Strange Brew, Ireland)

Based in Galway, the cultural hub of Ireland, Gugai has been running shows for over 20 years, 14 of those as the owner of the Róisín Dubh, one of Ireland’s most beloved venues. He has been instrumental in putting Galway on the map as a live music destination; in addition to the Róisín he also programmes the Galway International Arts Festival’s Big Top, and he is a director of the Vodafone Comedy Carnival, and also runs a management company / booking agency / record label / radio show under the Strange Brew umbrella.
