DIM OND DAWNS are HUGØ and ASH, a DJ duo who have been running parties and club nights since the late 90’s. Mostly DJ’ing on the underground scene but also known for collective past nights such as Funktion and Selectro. Both DJ’s have a varied style of sound.

Lisa Oakes

From North Wales, Lisa Oakes has been a fan of techno music since she was introduced to the North Wales techno scene at a young age. Always convinced she was happy just dancing and listening to techno, her first encounter on the other side of the decks came by chance after spending the weekend with a friend who owned some Technics 1210’s back in 2008, realising that weekend that she had a natural flair and ability for Djing she decided to then buy her own 1210’s and get practicing. Picking it up straight away, her first gig was only a couple of months later. Her sets on Soundcloud had created quite a following and sparked the attention of a promoter in Leeds where she then played at a night called Future Past where she got introduced to the Code Leeds crew who then became a second techno family to her and North Wales. Going on to then play not only for Code a number of times but also for The Orbit, Dubtek, Gottwood festival, Iard Hendre and various other places in wales. Over the years, she has graced the decks and line ups next to some of her musical idols and big names such as Dave Clarke, Mike Humphries, Jon Nuccle, Gez Varley (LFO), Glenn Wilson, Sunhil Sharpe, Neil Lundstrumm, Cj Bolland, Woody Mcbride and Tommy Four Seven to name but a few. Most recently she had the honour of warming up for Ben Sims at Iard Hendre. With a bigger ambition for djing she had realised to get further, producing her own tracks would be the best way forward, so after taking some time out to self teach herself how to use ableton, her first EP was ready for release. That first EP hit the number 1 spot on Beatport’s hard techno releases charts within the first couple of days of coming out. She then went on to have subsequent chart successes on a number of occasions with later releases. Lately she has sparked the interest and support off Dj Rush who has been playing her music and also Ben Sims who not only has played her music on his radio show but invited her to be a part of a various artist’s EP on his iconic Symbolism label. She’s also been signed to some iconic old school techno labels such as Mark eg’s Black out Audio, Glenn Wilson’s Compound and also signings to respected labels such as Refined Format, Black Square Recordings, Unknown Territory, Viral Outbreak digital, Bubble Jam Gold, Biotech Recordings, Techno Vinyls Records, BLOK records, and Different is Different Records. This year is looking like it will be a very positive one for Lisa with various releases due out and gigs throughout the year and also plans to start her own label.

Jago Lyne (Gottwood)

Jago lyne is one of the up and coming techno stars of North Wales and has been rocking dance floors for a few years now. Owner of his own night and podcast station called Technological. He has been been regular DJ at prestigious places such as Gottwood, Hendre and Audiofarm festival.

F*** me it looks like a spaceship in here. That’s how the builder reacted when entering Endaf’s studio for the first time. Music Producer / Live Electronic Artist / DJ / Promoter & Record Label founder, Endaf has been busy spinning records and twiddling knobs for over10 years and hails from the mountains of North Wales. His productions showcase his introvert and extravert sides ranging from his mellow, jazzy electronic jams influenced by the likes of (James Blake, FKJ, Ifan Dafydd) all the way to his let’s see that bass face House bangers made for the club.

So far 2020 has been a huge year for Endaf, one of the BBC Horizons / Gorwelion 12 supported artists this year, his track ‘Wrapped’ was featured on BBC Music Introducing’s Hot List by Jaguar, and his latest release ‘Disgwyl’ with Eadyth & Ifan Dafydd has been supported on BBC Radio 1 / BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio Cymru / BBC Radio Wales.

Past performances include events such as BAFTA Cymru Afterparty, Gottwood Festival, Manchester International Festival, Risin Sound Berlin, Welsh Sports Awards, Swansea Fringe Festival and a live session at BBC Maida Vale studios to name a few.

His club night ‘High Grade Grooves’ has a weekly residency at Cube Nightclub, Bangor, this is where you’ll hear his unreleased tracks first, so becoming a record label in 2019 was the natural progression for High Grade Grooves to distribute his music worldwide.

GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) and love for cables has led to Endaf creating a live set consisting of Synthesisers, Drum Machines, Samplers, Step Sequencers, MIDI Controllers, gives the power of creating and remixing electronic music LIVE, allowing room for improvisation making each performance unique. Expect to hear those Lazy Jams of his, but with a fat 909 beat behind, transforming them in to club bangers.
