Radha Patel (Film Hub Wales)

Radha is the Made in Wales Officer at Film Hub Wales, working to support films with Welsh connections and the cinemas that show them.

Film Hub Wales is one of 8 Film Hubs around the UK, formed in 2013, as part of the British Film Institute’s (BFI) Film Audience Network (FAN). They support independent organizations, cinema and community initiatives that screen film, from film festivals, to societies and mixed arts centers to screen British and Independent cinema to UK audiences through grants, marketing support and training. To date, they support over 300 exhibitors and venues in Wales, aiming to bring the best British and international film to all audiences across Wales.

Their Made in Wales strategy is supported with funding from Creative Wales, and gives more focus and attention to the exhibition of films with Welsh connections, and the cinemas that show them. Through long term programming support, marketing strategies and the creation of added value assets, at the core of their work is the desire to see Welsh culture and history represented accurately on screen and give voice to diverse and interesting stories.
