Lauren Down (End of The Road)

Lauren Down is the Managing Director of End of The Road – a critically acclaimed, independent festival for real music fans that takes place on the Dorset/Wiltshire border. It has, over the years, seen the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Patti Smith, St. Vincent, Little Simz, Damon Albarn, Vampire Weekend, Father John Misty, King Krule, Tame Impala, Michael Kiwanuka, Bon Iver and Sigur Rós perform. End of The Road 2022 is set to feature Pixies and many more to be announced.

Having attended the festival every year since 2008 – first as a fan, then as a member of the press – she joined the team in 2014 as Festival Manager before taking up her current position just one year into the job. Joining End of the Road meant leaving her career in PR behind – having previously worked campaigns for The War On Drugs, Caribou, Angel Olsen, Matthew E. White, Nadine Shah, James Holden, Natalie Prass, Pond, Jens Lekman and Japandroids.

When she’s not running around a field in Dorset with more walkie-talkies than she has hands, she can be found scribbling words for many independent music publications, including The Line of Best Fit – where she held the position of Deputy Editor for 5 years, before becoming a Contributing Editor in 2018.
