Jessica Symonds (Management: Yohvn Blvck, Nova Scotia)

Jessica Symonds was born on March 16th, 1996 and was raised in Halifax, NS, Canada. From a young age, she has always had a passion for the arts and their many forms like music composition, photography, film and especially performing arts. She is a self-taught musician able to play the piano and guitar. With two years of accumulated experience, she has formed key values focused on community, a passion for diversity and equality, and breaking societal limits and barriers within it. Jessica is currently working alongside organizations like ‘Kaleidoscope Network’ (a production company that bridges clients and artists together) as an internal manager and forming the company ‘Svdbvd Productions’ (a production company focused on the development of artists) as a co-manager as well. Jessica has written and received multiple grants for artists. She is currently the co-manager for the artist Yohvn Blvck (Artist in Residence Finalist 2022) and has provided volunteer artist services for numerous artists within the city. She has also managed social media, filmed and was in charge of photography for the Basketball Peace tournament in 2022, a project that was supported by Kaleidoscope Network and its partners. More recently, she has been focusing on a lot of professional development and experience building to her portfolio, to help her bring new assets to her teams. Notably, she was a participant in this year’s Women in Music Canada Entrepreneurial Accelerator program, and others like this as well. Upcoming Jessica will be representing Yohvn Blvck this May in FOCUS Wales, and the Great Escape.
