Jason Mayall (Smash Corporation – Fuji Rock, Japan)

Jason Mayall is director of the London office for Japanese concert promoter Smash Corporation. Established in 1984, Smash promotes two music festivals and scores of concert tours year-round in Japan.

Smash produce Fuji Rock Festival which is Asia’s largest outdoor festival, held annually in the mountains of Naeba, Niigata. The company’s UK office produce and co ordinate the arts around the site and create the Palace of Wonder, an area that presents circus and mayhem until the early dawn.

Asagiri Jam, a 12,000 capacity camping festival takes place on the slopes of iconic Mount Fuji in Autumn.
Smash promote some of the biggest names in the contemporary music world but also aim to introduce a colourful mix of artists from around the globe to Japanese audiences.
