James Prendergast is a promoter, artist manager and project manager for the Next Up Showcase at Focus Wales. He started his events The Shutdown Show in 2018 with a focus on promoting emerging artists in Wales making Grime, Hip-Hop, Garage, R&B and Drill. Events have included shows at venues including The Moon, Clwb Ifor Bach, Sin City Swansea, as well as programming nights for festivals including Hub Fest, Focus Wales, Swansea Fringe, Llais (formerly Festival of Voice) and Rebel Fest.
