Chris Wynters (Six Shooter Records, Canada)

Chris Wynters is VP Artist Management at Six Shooter Records where he heads up the management team for Canadian bluegrass road warriors, The Dead South, and Welsh (originally from Guinea) Balafon virtuoso, N’famady Kouyaté. Previously, Chris served as the Executive Director of Alberta Music (2012-2017). He has much experience in the music business as a songwriter, producer, studio owner and as a road weathered touring musician from over 25 years of fronting Captain Tractor, one of Alberta’s most successful independent bands ever. Chris has also done a lot of work as a theatre artist: as an actor, an award winning music director and composer, and as the creator/composer/lyricist of a number of original musicals. He has served as VP on the board of the Western Canadian Music Alliance, VP of Canadian Council of Music Industry Associations, and as a member of several other boards and committees including The Unison Benevolent Fund, Alberta Partners for Arts and Culture, FACTOR’s National Advisory Board and the Professional Arts Coalition of Edmonton.
