Catarina Pauli Caldas (Handshake Booking, Germany)

From an early age, Cat has spent her free time volunteering at jazz festivals and exploring her own musical expression, gradually expanding her toolkit with studies in musicology and event management. Starting off her career in the artist management field, she’s spent these past few years developing the international booking department at Handshake Booking. Expanding the agency’s horizons and building up its international presence, she’s always keen to explore synergies and develop sustainable partnerships with like-minded professionals.

Handshake Booking was founded over 10 years ago. With a network spanning all relevant concert halls, venues, and festivals in GSA and presenting artists such as Mayra Andrade, Theo Croker, Marina Satti or Chelsea Carmichael, the agency quickly established its name within the world of jazz and ‘global’ music, later also progressing into other genres such as indie pop, rock or (neo) classical music.
