Gareth Howatson

Gareth Howatson is a passionate singer songwriter/band from Denbigh, North Wales, currently located in Chester. The music shows influences from a range of genre's such as, Folk, Rock, Alternative Folk and Pop. With three years of travelling around the UK playing shows between University term time’s, the live performances are solid and are pouring with honesty and emotion flooding through the lyrics and melodies. Gareth's debut EP 'The 2010 - EP' is currently out on iTunes. The EP has seen great success. Such as the single Hold On reaching over 1,000 views on Youtube, as well as joining the second single 2010 (Part 2) in featuring on numerous radio stations. One main station being BBC Radio Wales with Gareth being featured as Artist of The Week on the BBC Introducing station. Gareth released his first LP 'Waiting For Nothing’ in April 2016. The album is dark, passionate and cracks through every detail of hometown friendships, growing up and losing touch on relationships. The singles 'I Want Out' and 'I've Been There' have featured on the BBC Radio Wales Introducing station numerous times since their release in April. Gareth is currently in the process of recording his third studio release with the second EP due to be released in June 2018. Gareth plays twice at the festival. Gareth will perform three times at the festival, first at 4:30pm on the Friday 11th May at the Royal Oak, and then again later that day at 6pm at The Fat Boar, and also on the Saturday 12th May at 6:50pm at Old No.7 Bar.
