Shoot the Rabbit is a new band based in the Wrexham area, which started in Bangor whilst all four members were in University. After practicing in a loft conversion for several months, Shoot the Rabbit played their first gigs in Bangor and have slowly moved back to the Wrexham area where they have begun to gig more regularly and record their first demos. Their first release "That One Lived" was uploaded to their SoundCloud page and limited release in October and has been followed up with their EP "Sticky" in January 2012. Their influences range from more recent bands like Arctic Monkeys and Radiohead to bands like The Cure and Joy Division. Their sound has been described as "a mixture of hypnotic bass and drums, silky seductive vocals and some subtle yet intricate guitar." Their sound is dark and eerie in places but there's definitely some memorable melodies in there if you listen hard enough.
