Lowri Evans was born in the Welsh market town of Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire. Apart from a short absence spent studying in Newcastle and some time travelling, her home remains in Wales. In 2005 Lowri contributed her song ‘Sorry Smokey’ to the C.D. ‘Pembrokeshire Acoustic Sessions’ - it was during this time that she first met her partner Lee Mason. During 2006 when Lowri was performing at some Welsh language shows she realised she was missing out on performing to a significant section of her own people and culture. It was then that she decided to translate her songs into Welsh and start singing and recording in both the English and Welsh language, releasing her first Welsh Album "Clyw SIbrydion (Hear Whipsers)" in Summer 2006 on Fflach's RASP label. Since then she has gone on to release a number of albums in both Welsh and English languages. She has also performed at such festivals as ‘Green Man Festival’ and ‘Wychwood’, had BBC Radio airplay, came 2nd in the Song for Wales competition in 2008, and has supported Cara Dillon, Martin Simpson and Richie Havens to name just a few.
