I Am Austin are Adam Hughes, a bass player with an amp setup so filthy it should have an 18 rating attached to it, and David Mitchell, a drummer/vocalist who hits his kit so ferociously you’d think it would have wronged him somehow in the past and that’s it, a two piece, with some freshly squeezed electro synth to boot. I Am Austin describe themselves as "The world's smallest band, with the biggest noise" a mix of future blues, dance, rock, garage-punk. They hail from Connah's Quay, North Wales, achieving many great things in such a short space of time, such as tour support for Noisettes, making their debut television appearance on Channel 4's Evo Music Rooms, alongside the likes of Graham Coxon, Darwin Deez and Bombay Bicycle club. They also performed at Radio 1's Big Weekend in 2010 with an absolutely breath taking performance that Radio 1's Huw Stevens described as "Vicious and Amazing!" With powerhouse songs like " Stripper" and "L.A.F.S" this small but perfectly formed, stunningly different electro, dance, rock duo have managed to create something unique. Producing a sound that merges the sexiness of rock 'n' roll with the dirty-ness of drum and bass.
