A noise pop band from Denbigh, in the Vale of Clwyd. “Amongst a torrent of lo-fi pop, it's difficult to recognise the genuine gems, especially as a glut of bands making 'hazy' lo-fi has meant that anything that sounds vaguely fuzzy is automatically compared to Best Coast and Washed Out. Dancers, however have a sound which is immediately discernible and distinctive. 'Oh! Bicycle!' is reminiscent of Pavement but unlike other 'slacker-pop' type bands, Dancers don't retreat into or ironise their own aesthetic. Instead, the song builds to a chorus which is pleasingly climactic - the melodic riff immersed in the layered guitars being so restlessly catchy. Having stormed sets in 2011 at Gwyl Gardd Goll, and Swn Festival, the band are primed for an exciting 2012!
