Dave Gray (THIS Project)

Dave Gray is a Creative Entrepreneur who has conceived, originated and realised a unique series of projects bridging business, local authority, education, the voluntary sector and the arts. Dave has been involved heavily in project management, marketing and community development. Specialising in collaborative project management he uses his talents to bring together diverse organisations and individuals to achieve common goals. Working from his base in Wrexham, North Wales, Dave established Rampant Dragon LTD 12 years ago, and the company has been a launch pad for a range of ground breaking business and socially focused initiatives, including; The Foundry Business Centre: providing work, meeting and exhibition space shared both creative industries businesses and more traditional companies | Fusion: Cultural Networking: a group that brings together professionals from business, the public & education sectors, and the arts | The St Giles’ Sessions: featuring acoustic performances from the region’s most talented artists in Wrexham’s historic 15th Century Church | THIS Project (www.thisproject.co.uk): Working alongside Business Partner, emerging artist Mike Jones, to establish THIS Project as an independent not-for-profit organisation, working to take Welsh art outside of the region to national and international audiences. Set up nationally recognised pop up art-spaces Undegun and Galeri 3B. | Vic Studios Ltd: a director of the newly established group working to reopen and transform this young person’s community music facility after it’s closure in late 2015 by the local authority. As well as these central activities David is also a current Board member of Flintshire based Mountain Music and Arts; is a member of the Wrexham Arts Hub advisory panel; a Project partner on Wrexham’s Christmas Light Switch On since 2012; formerly Chair of the Wrexham Arts Forum; has been a member of the North Wales Advisory Panel for the Arts Council of Wales; oversaw development of a community garden in Wrexham Town Centre; and has worked as Project Leader for Creative International arts festival.
