THEATRE: Starring Sally J Freedman as Herself

"Glyndwr University Presents... An Adaptation of 'Starring Sally J Freedman as Herself'. A one act performance inspired by and devised from the novel 'Starring Sally J Freedman as Herself' by Judy Blume, incorporating Physical Theatre, Comedy, and Storytelling. It is 1947 and the war is over. Sally, a 10 year old American Jewish girl, tries to understand the world around her through asking endless questions, such as ‘Why do coloured people have to sit in a separate carriage?’ ‘Where do babies come from?’ and ‘Where is Adolf Hitler?' Sally interprets the answers, and the hushed conversations of adults, into stories and imaginings, whilst enduring separation from her beloved father." The production is presented as part of the final showcase for third year students on the degree programme www.glyndwr.ac.uk/en/Undergraduatecourses/TheatreTelevisionandPerformance/ *There will be 3 performances: Thursday 10th – Friday 11th May 7pm, and Saturday 12th May 4pm.
