ABOUT
Focus Wales is a 3 day Music Festival & Conference held at multiple venues in Wrexham, North Wales, UK, and will take place over the weekend of the 19th, 20th & 21st of April, 2012.
The festival will showcase live performances from a collection of the very best in music of Welsh origin throughout weekend, including special guest headliners, and selected International acts - alongside music industry panels and discussions, featuring experts from all sectors of the music industry.
History
Focus Wales 2011 was our inaugural event, and took place in Wrexham, North Wales in May 2011. The 2011 festival included conference discussions featuring representatives from PRS for Music, BBC Radio, and the music press, as well as showcasing non-stop new music throughout the weekend from 40+ acts over 3 stages, including; John Lawrence (formerly of Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci), The Roseville Band, Paper Aeroplanes, Camera, Bright Light Bright Light, Andy Hickie & The Merry Maidens, The Gentle Good, and many more, some of which were recorded for broadcast by BBC Radio. Performing also were international acts ‘I’m Kingfisher’ of Malmo, Sweden, and ‘Aerials Up’ from Glasgow, Scotland.
